Of course when Poti had the chance to return the favor a POKECHECK!
Poti is the one and only New York Ranger that I actually have hated in my love affair for this team. I really would love to see him inadvertantly run over Esche or do something to provoke a guy like Brashear to just take the instigator and go to town on Tom's face. I feel that strong of a dislike for Poti and all he represents wearing my Ranger sweater.

Terrible call. Remember when the NHL Refs were on their kick to call diving all the time? What happened to that? Players are gonna dive all the time now anytime they are tapped.

Yes Federov and Taffe were invisible pretty much. Hopefully they show up sometime in this game. I know its their first game so I'll cut them a little slack.

Not really sure what Prucha or Max did to deserve not to play. There are no less than 3 candidates from both the forward and defenseman position that should have sat this one out instead.
Is it me or is Malik getting progressively slower and slower?

Yeah, no clue why Strudwick is playing. He's never been more than a 7th dman in the NHL.

Nice to see Fedorov show off his hardwork. He won't even work hard in the offensive zone.

True blue, ive wondered that myself, i mean he was never a great skater, but he has no stride and rarely even shows hustle, he just kinda glides along, he never looked this bad in vancouver, i remember watching him play in a few games where he was with jovo and didnt look this slow so its really weird. i hate to say but i think purinton may be a better skater, the only guy that malik has beat in the skating department is steve mckenna

Can't say I was expecting much from Fed Fed, Prucha would be better up there.

One thing is for sure, if his skating does not get back to at least Vancouver level and this is what is the norm for this year, then one can only make the logical assumption that he will be slower in the next few years. That does not bode well for our defense as Malik is virtually untradeable.

Except he would be out of position and that would be worse for his development.

Why do we see Malik on PP? Why Prucha sits instead of Neimo? Did Strudwick play better than Maxime in Buffalo? Fedorov sucks. I hope not to see him in Ranger blue ever again.

I've a feeling Prucha is just the victim of 'new signings' tonight. They want to have a look at Fedorov and Taffe, and Prucha is one of the easiest to sit out.

Hopefully he'll get another chance soon.
