We all love hockey, and you're going to win some and lose some.
If the Sens are going to lose, I take consolation in enjoying Forsberg and Gagne work their magic.
Also, it wasn't a very scrappy and emotional affair, apart from a little bit of emotion in the 2nd. So there wasn't the usual accusations of bush-league tactics that seems to follow games these days.
agreed it is all about the love of hockey
a lot of people seem to forget that
but i tip my hat to you
I thought Esche was hurt in the 3rd? He looked damn good to me.
He was moving really slow during the second, and looked to be hurt on one scramble around the crease. Niittymaki started to warm up but never had to come in. I guess it was just a minor thing.
Also, I would like Flyers fans opinions on Andrej Meszaros. Us Sens fan think he's been amazing this year, and would just like to get input from the other teams fans. He just turned 20 but is playing like an NHL vet.
Sorry, did someone say that we could have a good goaltending mathcup between Hasek and Esche? That's almost as bad as Leaf fans calling Spezza's goal a "Wellwood type goal".
Robert Esche - Very good game
Jeff Carter - Starting to play like the hyped rookie he is
Eric Desjardins - IMO one of the best flyers so far this year, maybe thee best, Forsberg did have one bad game. I dont think Gags did though, anyway a top 3
Wanted to see Brashear and Mcgratton square off, especially after Mcgratton pointed and Dorny informed us that he beat the crap outta Domi last night. Hopefully Mcgratton is still around next time they play
Well boys, does that make everyone feel just a little bit better about the Fly Boys!!!!!!
The reality is this...........are team is slowly going to gel.......are super rooks are only going to get better........and regardless of a less then great start too the season, this team is one of the very very few elites in the NHL.....along with Ottawa and Detriot right now...
And at least until we play Ottawa again, we have bragging rights .....ha ha.......
Seriously though, should these 2 teams meet in the playoffs, it could go either way......both different types of teams but both powerhouses....
But let us enjoy tonight.......and after what the Sens have been doing, it is good too see them somewhat humbled in their own bard!!!
This was a great statement game for the Flyers. I know that I really didn't think they would win, I thought they would get smoked. No Primeau, Johnsson out for most of the game. 3 games in 4 nights again, and the best part of the win was that Ottawa did not looked gassed at all. At times they did control the game and Esche was able to hold them off. The PK is still shoddy, but the British Empire wasn't built in a day

Can you pick an empire that didn't have an epic collapse?
