Upshall recalled

NASHVILLE PREDATORS RECALL FORWARD SCOTTIE UPSHALL FROM MILWAUKEE (AHL)

Nashville, Tenn. (October 31, 2005) – Nashville Predators Executive Vice President/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has recalled forward Scottie Upshall from the Milwaukee Admirals of the American Hockey League.

Upshall, 22 (10/7/83), has posted six points (2g-4a) in five games with Milwaukee this season, ranking second on the team. The 6-0, 197-pound winger, the Predators' first-round pick (sixth overall) in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft, has recorded one goal and one assist in 15 career NHL games with Nashville.

The Predators' roster stands at 21 with two players (Danny Markov and Scott Walker) on injured reserve.

Hopefully he's used properly and we plug him right in in Scott Walker's spot. This could be a BIGTIME test-of-mettle for Scottie, and he should take full advantage.

This is great. I fully expect him to make a good impression. I was ready for him to stay up last year before he got hurt, and he looked ready to me in the preseason. HE HAS GOT TO BE BETTER THAN HALL on the PP, and him up front should give us another physical yet skilled winger.

Its about time!

what we have to hope...is that trotz will give upshall walker's spot for the next few games...put him on a line with sully and perreault and give him 2nd line minutes...my fear is that trotz will simply roll upshall down with nichol and hordichuk and keep erat with sully and then hall and stevenson together on the third...

do that, and he won't have a chance to show he can cut it

Scottie will do fine if he is given a chance to play.

We know Trotz, and we should know damn well that Upshall will be on the fourth line
