Speaking of jinxing, hopefully we can get through one GDT without somebody saying something like "Vanek`s going to get a hat trick tonight". LOL.

I`ve taken the Sabres 4 times on Pro-Line this year. 3 of the times were the losses against Ottawa, Jersey and Washington. The other was the Pitt game, but I had Buffalo to win by 2 goals so it still lost. So I learned my lesson, but those odds are really tempting, especially with Hasek not playing.

What I'm trying to say is that the 3rd game in 4 nights is a game that can be won, and should not be a write-off.
We beat the Canadiens back on October 11th in the 3rd game in 4 nights, having won all 3 games in that span.

Doesn't mean that it's easy to do.

That being said, I expect the Senators to win tonight, if only because they're coming off a disappointing loss against the Flyers, where everything really wasn't going their way, and Havlat will have lots to prove after being out of the lineup for 5 games.

I thought that the 1st period we played vs. Ottawa was our best period to date. We didn't score a goal, but aside from that, we were aggressive and controlled the play for the most part.

Buffalo is able to outskate the Sens due to the uncontrollable fits of laughter provoked by Sabretooth.

Sabretooth earns his keep on the powerplay, while not recording any points his goalie screens contribute to 6 of 8 sucessful chances and is awarded 1st star.
Sabretooth would get laid out by Chara. Hard.

Miller or Biron in nets?

You would think miller but...

Beter showcase Biron if a trade is near?

If Miller is in nets tonight I'm guessing there won't be any trades in the near future conserning Biron?

any thoughts?

Either that, or there is a trade in the very near future and the Sabres don't want him to get injured. That's what I always hope for.
My prediction is 5-4 Ottawa in OT. Goals by...hmmm....Briere, Dumont, Grier, and what the hell, Mckee.

I reckon we're gonna get a right steaming, 5 or 6 goals against. No idea how many we'll score.

I can't buy that. The Toronto game had an exibition pace...more like an All-Star game pace.

If they can't catch a 45 minute flight to Ottawa and play 60 minutes the next day then maybe someone should be looking into the conditioning coaches credentials.

I believe that was alliteration right there folks.

That's what I thought when Miller kept starting.

Anyway:
0-0 with Buffalo winning in a shootout after eight shots

Bringing Havlat back has altered the top 3 lines for the Sens, so I wouldn't surprised if they came out flat and Buffalo took the lead. The Sens also had a bad practice yesterday, and while that often means little, its food for thought.

If the Sabres can stay out of the box (and keep Ottawa first PP unit off the ice), I think they have a pretty good shot tonight.

My predictions have been pretty good so far this year, the only time I've made an incorrect prediction was against these Senators. But I ain't never scared! Sabres win 5-3!

GO SABRES!!

"Ottawa has been stressing their newfound physical presence," Ruff said. "We'll need ours."

Well, i guess we'll need more than our 4th line.
