November schedule & Poll

With the entire month's games against the Eastern Conference, how do you think the Sabres will fare? Of course this depends on which team and goalie shows up, but what are your feelings?

I don't expect to be much above .500, if at all, but it's important to snag at least 1 point is some of these big games. It seems as though a large number of Eastern Conference battles are heading to OT. Even teams that lose these games are compiling points that will payoff long-term.

I agree Takeo. We seem to be the only team that is not getting those crucial single points. Too many losses in regulation will hurt in the long run. Especially during this stretch, I think it's important for us to play for at least a point in certain games vs. superior competition.

<- my feelings.

Pominville & Roy are going to inject some much needed life into the lineup.
Putting them together with Vanek may be just what the doctor ordered.

I think the next few games are gonna be rough, but I think they'll take a good chunk of the back end of the month's schedule to sneak above .500. Lots of home games helps.

NOVEMBER
v OTT
v MTL
a MTL
v CAR
v TOR
a OTT
v NJ
v WSH
a BOS
v NYR
a NYI
v MTL
a WSH
a PIT

My gut feelings:

NOVEMBER
v OTT - ouch
v MTL - W
a MTL - L/OT
v CAR - L
v TOR - W
a OTT - L/OT (think they'll be motivated this time?)
v NJ - W/OT
v WSH - W
a BOS - L
v NYR - W
a NYI - L (Hope I'm wrong - I'll be at this game)
v MTL - L
a WSH - W/OT
a PIT - L/OT

That would give us a record of 6-5-3 for November. I think it's possible.

I agree. That line should be able to generate plenty of offense.

As bad as the next few games look, this team could possibly take 6 or 7 out of the last 8 games in the month.

Well Vanek has 0 goals, and the other two havent played in the NHL yet this season, I can't see them making an huge impact, right away atleast.
