Hartford--Binghamton

Have tickets to the game on Nov.11. It will be the first live game I'll have seen in quite some time and I'm hoping the Wolfpack show up and get a big win.

Two cities with a Rangers connection.

I miss the old Binghamton Rangers.

I remember in 95 watching a line brawl erupt vs. Rochester.

AND two cities with Whaler connections. (Whalers preceded the Rangers)

As far as those Ranger teams, Poescheck, Langdon, Domi, Vial, Vandenbussche, Fiorentino, Daniel Lacroix and others.. Like Cairns and Sylvan Blouin.

Not all on the same team at once, but damn did they throw down..

Yes I used to go down 4 or 5 times a years when the Rangers were there. If I remember right Zubov played the first couple of games in 94 there and then was called up and scored a ton of points. I remember seeing him sometime. Also Rob Zamuner. Don Biggs was a big scorer. Domi and Langdon were my favorites. Fiorintino was fighting all the time but his fights were always pretty ugly and he never seemed to win. Anyway we'll be in L Section 3.

Lots of guys came through those Binghamton teams:

Weight
Zamuner
Jody Hull
Zubov
Kovalev
Janssens
Norstrom
Marchant

City has a strong hockey tradition with lots of interesting names connected to it.

Yes Edge I saw Weight, Kovalev and Norstrom. First time I saw Kovy he had everybody standing up. Whoever he was playing against could not get the puck away from him. He must have stickhandled through the other team 3 times in a minute and he never even crossed their blue line. They were chasing him all around the neutral zone. Definitely a sign of things to come.
