None of the defensemen have been stellar 100% of the time, but Tallinder has been more effective nightly than most. With the recent addition, I'll give him a pass too, though he -- like most of the rest of the team -- has got to get back on track.
Tallinder's having major problems adjusting to the right side. On a 1-10 scale, he's an 8 playing the left side and only a 5 on the right. He doesn't have the quickness/coordination to recover from those extra seconds it takes to make a decision because the position doesn't come second nature to him yet. The Sabres should have called up Jillson.
I agree that Timmah has been good on the PP point, but there is not enough Jameson in the county to make me think Campbell has been anything other than mediocre anywhere on the ice.
Campbell's quick and he has good recovery ability. They might as well move him to the right side. He'll still be mediocre, but at least Tallinder would be effective.
Overall, the Sabres defensemen have performed up to expectations with one notable exception, Dmitri Kalinin. If there's going to be a whipping boy it has to be Kalinin.
