on the majority of those penalties I don't think I have actually seen 'too many men on the ice' (ie 6 players skating around) which would be the coaches fault.
I have seen some complete lazy shift changes though.
It's not that difficult to get off the ice, last night when the penalty was called,
2 were goons getting off the ice and stood in front of the bench, while their replacements were already on the ice.
If guys getting on the ice can jump over the boards to get on, why are they so freaking slow to get off? I would bet thats where 90% of those calls come from.
Or you could blame it on Mika for not being adept at keeping the door open...
