OT: Just traded Knuble and Johnsson for Carter...

Before anyone thinks I'm on crack, I'm talking about in my fantasy keeper league. There are 8 teams and this league has been on for 10 years. Rosters are about 32 throughout the season and then once the season is over, you can only keep 11 reserves. Very cool and competitive league which I just joined this year.

Anyway, in the beginning of the season I drafted Knuble and Johnsson. Nobody wanted Knuble but I guess they didn't expect him to end up on Forsbergs line. Back then it was all Carter and someone wound up getting him before I did (damnit). I actually lucked out due to Carter not blowing up as of yet. The other team is trying to compete this year while I am "selling out" to build my team for next year and the future. Luckily for me (and the flyers of course) Knuble has been putting up the points. After about an hour of online negotiations, I wound up getting a deal done in a straight up trade for Carter. The way I see it is, the only way I'll reserve him for next year over a better player I have (i.e. Recchi, Gomez, Bondra) is if he can get 45-55 points this year.

I kinda took a chance on the kid because I could have bundled Knuble with another decent player and gotten back maybe a stud in an end of year hand off. In those, the other team gets my players now and I get his after the season. This could wind up being an amazing deal for me if Carter pans out. I would have given up 2 guys who werent even reserves for a potential all-star player. I'm really just happy to finally see Carter on my roster after letting him slip away in this years draft. C'mon Carter, time to show the other team how they screwed up, lol.

PS. I have Richards too.

Don't worry.

With the trigger happy mods on this section I'm sure one of the four have their finger on the lock button already.
