He played under 13 minutes last night and his line actually looked like it had a clue of what its role was. I don't see any reason to assume that Messier will be too tired to play tonight--especially since there isn't another game until Thursday's home opener. It's only the 2nd game of the season.
There's also the fact that we don't have a 5th center on the roster unless you want to bump Lundmark down to the 4th line. Barnaby, LaCouture, Simon, Siklenka, and Keefe all play wing pretty much exclusively.
