I've seen fans of other teams do this on their boards, and with the dissatisfaction with the most recent HF rankings, I figured we may as well do it too. Rank #1, then when this closes #2, and so on until we have a list.
Why wont you ever see the guy? Is he uninterested in playing for the Lightning or the NHL?
Actually, he wants a one-way contract and a guaranteed spot in the NHL. That's not happening as far as the Lightning are concerned. Everyone earns their spot on this Lightning team.
the thing that gets me is that if hes as good as everyone says, he will play around 10 AHL games and get the call up anyway..........whats the big deal? We could really use him now on the powerplay.....

NO ONE gets handed a job in this organization. Everyone has to work hard everyday. The GM and coach have said this over and over again and if they give this guy a one-way contract they are going against everything they have been preaching for years now. I respect and appreciate it that.
PLUS, with the new rules about players making more than $75,000 in the minors, on a one-way contrract if they wanted to send him down to the AHL he would have to clear waivers.
The only other guy I was considering giving a vote to besides Polushin is Rogers, simply because he nearly made the team already. Ranger could be a relative lock with the team by now, which 'graduates' him in my book.
I voted Rogers, I think he will have the biggest impact with the NHL club on this list. I'm pretty shocked Polushin is getting votes, as it's unlikely he'll ever play for us. But it seems to be a landslide, so I'll go ahead and make the next poll.
