DirecTV people in Philly...

...do you guys get MSG?

Just wondering since I'm getting it as a Christmas present for the apartment here in good ol' West Philly.

I don't live in Philadelphia, but I can't see a reason why they wouldn't. DirecTV should offer that as part of the SportsPack anywhere, and since it's an NY based channel being shown in Philly, there shouldn't be blackout issues. (except for when the Flyers play on that network.)

It's not part of the sports pack, however.

It's just a general channel that you get. At least it's like that in Jersey.

It was part of the SportsPack when I ordered it.

According to the DirecTV website, it's still part of the SportsPack package. DirecTV does not offer a la carte channel options.

I guess being in Philly it doesn't come with the base pack since it's a New York channel. That blows, since like I said, it's part of the base package in Jersey.

How much was the SportsPack?

If I remeber correctly, it was around $10/month. It may be different now, though.

Probably the case.

Still cheaper than cable.

I just got off the phone with my father and he said the DirecTV lady said that MSG would "most likely" be part of the base package.

Here's hoping come installation day (Sunday).

Now, what channel are all of the Flyers games usually on, Brad? Is it UPN? I really have no idea since I've never had cable or DirecTV in Philadelphia before.
