New CAP Space

I heard that a NHL team can increase their cap space for the next season if they sell a certain amount of seats or sellouts at home games. The more money a team makes in ticket sales the more the next seasons cap increases. Is this true? If so, how exactly does to work and how much can a team increase their cap space by…

BTW, the Kings are selling lots of tickets! They should benefit if this is true. Please explain, Thanks.

The cap will go up for all teams only if the revenue for the entire league surpasses projections. The idea that teams can raise their individual caps by selling tickets makes no sense because that would greatly benefit the rich, big-market teams, exactly what the cap was implemented to prevent.
