It seems like these guys are lucky to make it to age 45 now.

Eddie had some drug problems a while back that may have had a lingering effect to his heart problems. Hate to speculate though

One of my all-time favourites.

Rest in peace, Eddie Guerrero.

38 years old...

From what I've read on different boards its common knowledge he has been clean for four years but was pretty bad before that.

Also, apparently he's been going through a cycle of getting injured, working very hard at rehab, putting on a ton of muscle from working so hard at rehab, going on the road, slowly losing all of his muscle mass, and getting injured again.

Obviously, thats not a good way to treat your body.

From what I understand about the industry (which I haven't followed for a while), it's painkillers, not steroids, that does most of these guys in. THey work 300 nights a year, where they put their bodies through intense stress. Most guys need something to help them get up in the morning, help them get through their day, and help them get to bed at night. After a while, it just catches up to you.

RIP Eddie. You were a consumate entertainer, but, most importantly, you leave a family behind. Here's to wishing the best of luck at having the strength to go forward.

Yeah I'm by no means a WWE fan. But everytime I'd see it on TSN or something, Eddie would be in the middle of it all.

I knew he had a drinking problem a few years back. I wonder if it's somehow linked to his death?

Shocked. RIP

Clean of what ...drugs, booze, or steroids? ...any of those thing's he's abused in the past may have killed him, if he was still using or not
...I bet they find out it was heart failure.

Eddie Guerrero was found this morning with his toothbrush in his mouth on the bathroom floor. He apparently died while brushing his teeth. The belief among those within WWE is that he had a heart failure. PWTorch.com reports that shortly after Guerrero's body was removed from the room, Chris Benoit, Rey Mysterio, Dean Malenko and Chavo Guerrero all visited the hotel room to say their final goodbyes. Many WWE staffers were visibly shaken by this as they left the hotel and headed for the arena.
sounds like he had a massive heart attack...R.I.P. Eddie!

I think he finally smartened up after the last time he was fired ...he has fallen off the wagon a few times though, so I wouldnt say he's been 'clean' ...but much better. ...similar death to Curt Hennig perhaps?
