I'm half expecting the Monarchs site to have a "pronounced" for Fukufuji's name to eliminate any confusion...

What does he have against "Fuji" anyway?

You tell us. Does he have a problem with that? What does he like to be called? We've yet to see him outside of one pre-season's worth of practice last season. Not even this season.

The fans in Manch want to call him Fuku. You can imagine what the arena staff and the Monarchs front office might think of the pronunciation possibilities in a "family venue". I now I'm sort of gritting my teeth myself over what my young'un might hear from the crowd.

Meanwhile, trivially speaking... Fukufuji would likely become the first professional goaltender in North America to have three "U"s in his last name. Three skaters have accomplished that feat... Christian Ruuttu, Jarko Ruutu and Tuomo Ruutu.

If you are sitting next to one of the unruly bunch, just lean over and say to him... "Excuse me sir, but Yutaka too much!"

Not likely, and to my knowledge none of them have ever skated on a line with Jonathan Cheechoo and/or Jordin Tootoo...

Just imagine a play by play guy saying this......."Cheechoo passes to Ruutu. Then Ruutu over to Tootoo. Tootoo chips it to Cheechoo. Cheechoo shoots!..............save by Fuku!

rebound, Tootoo... scores!!!!!! Tootoo picked up the puck off the shot by Cheechoo after it had been stopped by Fuku, and ties the game at two-two... That's Tootoo, from Cheechoo and Ruutu...

and then of course, you could have the unit of Dustin Brown, with Jamie Black and Sean Whyte, with Dale DeGray and Mike Green on defense, skating in on former Bruin goaltender John Blue... what a panacea that would be...

When returned to Manchester, will Hauser be subject to waivers?

and, if you're working off the "Deja Vu" album, that would be... CROSBY, STILL(s)MAN, NASH & YOUNG, with (Dave) Taylor and (Kyle) Reeves!

I wonder what the deal is with LaBarbera. Maybe one of his parents is sick or died or something. Hope he'll be back soon. Anyone heard anything?

Since the company line was that he was flying to LOS ANGELES, I doubt it's his parents, as they could have easily said he was flying to British Columbia to attend to a family matter. Is he married? Does he have kids? Maybe his colorist is going on vacation and this was the only time he could get his tips frosted

Doubt we'll know until it comes from LaBarbera's mouth - HIPAA laws. *shrug*.

What just scares me is the indefinate part..... I mean the fact that they dont give a guesimate or say anything is strange but its good to know if a player has problem he can deal with it without being pestered. Here is to Conan finding or figuring out whatever the problem is and coming back strong.

Kind of makes you wonder how many "I"'s are in Terrell Owens or should I say Tirrill Owins
