Too bad we have more talent/depth/skill then you guys do.
Many here consider me pretty knowledgeble about hockey, and the Predators and Kings are my 2 favorite teams (been a Kings fan since childhood) and I will name all of the Kings I know.. Demitra, Roenick, Avery, Garon, LaBarbera, Frolov (my 2nd favorite NHL player). Other than that, I don't see anyone with a name, or anyone that sticks out. Not a lot of depth players, and I don't think your defensive core even touches ours.
*** are you? and why are you responding on the pred board?
you didn't "dominate" crap in the 2nd period...we had outshot you guys 20-17 going into the third.. and led 2 to zip going into the third..
now i will freely admit the 3rd was the worst period of hockey we've played all year, as we tried to hold a lead throughout the period.. the 6 minutes of pp you guys had where you got 13 shots played a huge difference in the 21-2 shot total in the third...but i will give you the fact your team played a heck of a third period scrambling to get back in the game..
"consider myself lucky" ?..you've got to be kidding me, i got your name marked, better hope your team brings it tonight

The current Kings team is better than that one. If you think we can't "cycle and control the puck" your saddley mistaken.
Vokoun saved you guys in that first game. We absolutley dominated you guys in the second and third periods. The Preds were lucky to even get 2 goals. One of them was a complete fluke.
We got almost twice as many shots on goal in that game as the Preds did.
38-22. Any time you have a shot differential like that you can tell who was in control of the game. The final out come could have easily been 5-1 Kings.
Consider yourself lucky if we score less then 4 goals tonight.
Yeah, we'll be lucky if Sean Avery doesn't go cheapshotting and injuring our best players.

The only player I would be able to name on the Preds is Kariya. And I think that goes for a lot of people.
The Kings also have:
Craig Conroy-Leading point scorer in the Western Conference.
Lubo Vishnovsky- Highest scoring Defensemen in the Western Conference.

Yeah, Steve Sullivan, Kimmo Timonen(all-star), Tomas Vokoun(all-star, world champion goalie), Marek Zidlicky(top 5 point-getter among d-men as a rookie) Dan Hamhuis, Ryan Suter...what a bunch of nobodies

The vast majority of those 20 SOG were in the first period. The Kings out shot the Preds by a wide margin in the second period. If I recall right the Preds only had about 5 SOG in the entire second period.
Regardless. The Kings dominated both the second and third periods. More so the third.
I was at the game.

I didn't mean you personally. I meant the team.
The Kings will "bring it." The Preds still have a good chance at winning though, simply because of the fact that Garon is playing.

To clarify, my argument was never which team had more "names," (which the Kings do). It was that the Kings have more depth/skill/talent, which they do.
Vishnovsky, Frolov, Conroy, Demitra, Camalleri, Brown

I just came over to check the status of Steve Sullivan, but noticed the pre-game smack talk.

Kariya's becoming frustrating on those breakaways...but atones for it with a quick wrist shot over Garon's left shoulder on Timonen's rebound to tie it at 1.
The crowd looks week, but I imagine it's due to the tornado warnings in effect for pretty much all of the midstate.
Timonen makes it 2-1, though I wouldn't be surprised to see that goal changed to Erat or Gamache. The replay makes it look like it was Gamache that tipped it in, but Erat celebrated like he scored...but they announced it as Timonen...so...Steve Sullivan scored it
Hey, was that last Kings goal pretty? Why not ask Perreault, he had a great view of it, standing in the crease admiring...
I know, who knows what the man is thinking....He skates around and makes the oddest plays, like skating past the rebound in the crease, while the opposing team launches it in the net...
Yeah, Leggy has set Kariya up so many times this year and to no end result. Still, Kariya has had more chances through 16 this year than most of our offensive players would get in a year in past seasons....he is creating and scoring.....I wish it was more, but hey....can't complain too much
Anyway can we stop giving up 22 shots against the Kings in single periods?

Yeah, that was brutal, especially compared to all the chances we got in the first period and how well we played overall. Awful.
This has been one of the worst-called games AGAINST us all year. I"ve seen some bad calls in our favor, but we're getting mugged and tackled all over the place with no call. As I type this, we finally get a call when Miller hauls Legwand down, and the Kings commentator thinks it looks like a dive

Something that Eaton does on the PK that kills me is ALWAYS trying to wrap the puck around the boards and out, and it NEVER works, it's always caught by the pointman on the boards. If he could take an extra stride, he could get out and send it down a clear lane and out.
I hope it stung as bad as a phony shootout goal stung us. Huge win, and way to gutcheck in the third after one of our worst periods of the year in the second.
