Keep Watchin...

I highly doubt that Columbus will stay with a payroll near the max. I think Doug Mc will now look to flip a couple of players currently under contract to clear some space.

Clearly, he saw something left in Fedorov that Anahiem did not.

This could, perhaps, open a market for Fedor Fedorov.

Todd Marchant might be someone who is sent packing from Colum.

Mods, please don't move this thread again...We'd like to talk about it ourselves on this board and not have to go to the other board. I think I speak for many of us Ranger posters, but when I come on HFBoards, I typically only look at the Rangers page.

with Federov in Detroit and that Federov was very happy to be going to Columbus. I wonder if they would be interested in his brother?

You had me excited for a minute--I thought Sather had managed to unload F Fedorov on someone.

Are you suggesting that we trade our Fedorov for Todd Marchant? If so, why?

Can you tell me anything about Fedor? Would you trade him for Marchant? What's his play like? Would he want to play with his brother? Thanks

I would not trade him for Marchant. Marchant does not address the Rangers' needs and adds unwanted money and years to the Rangers' cap.

Fedor is probably as talented as his brother (as ridiculous as that sounds, his talent is obvious once you see him play).. unfortunately he is also one of the laziest or most clueless players you'll see

just doesn't ever seem to get into the flow

this is an awful trade for the bluejackets. Yeah they gave up nothing for Fedorov, but at this stage in his carrer there is no way I would take on his contract. In the cap age you just can't afford to be paying Sergei superstar money when he hasn't played on that level for several years. This move will hurt they're cap flexibility for a few years down the road.
