A total waste of space...

I know the dudes here seem to hate threads like this, but does anyone know where I can find the top 10 ppg players in nhl history? I have some money riding on Eric Lindros being in the top ten, and it would help me out if someone knew where to find this info...

thanks homeys.

I think he was talking about Points Per Game. If so up until the last two years, I think he was third, right behing Gretzky and Lemeiux. I'm not exactly sure where he would rank today, but I'm fairly confident that it would still be in the top ten.

According to statistics gathered from hockeydb.com:
Eric Lindros - 1.23

Wayne Gretzky - 1.92
Mario Lemieux - 1.92
Marcel Dionne - 1.31
Phil Esposito - 1.24
Peter Stastny - 1.27
Jaromir Jagr - 1.30
Mike Bossy - 1.50
Bobby Orr - 1.39
Peter Forsberg - 1.27
Maurice Richard - 1.31

Whew! I can now rest easy knowing that Eric Lindros is not in the top 10 in all time points per game.

Two threads tonight I totally misread. I need more sleep.

If you had made the bet prior to his sitting out a year, you would have made some money, because he was in the top ten then.

''Maurice Richard - 1.31''

Not to be anal or anything, but Richard didn't even average a point per game. 965 in 978. Were you thinking of someone else?

Eric sure didn't help his PPG cause with his sterling sub-60 point season last year!

Damn, I must have looked at his PIMs instead of points.

Lindros was fifth on that list not that long ago, but his points number has taken a big fall over the past few years.

Actually now that I've looked at the top ppg in history, I think Lindros might be in the top ten. He's sitting in the tenth spot so far. Unless someone else can be thought of, I think you may actually win your bet.

Mario Lemieux 1.925
Wayne Gretzky 1.921
Mike Bossy 1.497
Bobby Orr 1.393
Marcel Dionne 1.314
Jaromir Jagr 1.300
Peter Stastny 1.268
Peter Forsberg 1.268
Phil Esposito 1.240
Eric Lindros 1.228
