"The goaltending, despite KingsNation fretting about who the starter is, works fine.... Get used to seeing a lot of both players in the net, a fact of Coach Andy Murray's life. Learn to live with it. "

"On defense, one of the Eight Wonders of the modern world is Joe Corvo's plus-14 rating"

He's too harsh on Lubo (especially after tonight's game! ), but otherwise a good article.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the name CPA line? It doesn't have that ring to it that the "Triple Crown" did. I still like the "Defcon Line" or "Defcon 3".

Jesus, that just goes to show how bad the +- stat is.

NO he's been playing a lot better, but seeing him play 20+ minutes a night is downright scary.

For lack of anything better, so far, I like the line the Jackets announcers game up with - The Royal Line.

I think that is far better than CPA. Did I hear Bob Miller correctly? Did he say he came up with that name? If he did somebody needs to go up to him at a game and say "No Bob, No soup for you".

Bob's oldschool. It wouldn't surprise me if he came up with it.

The Kings lack a player like Detroit's Tomas Holstrom, one that pays the price in front of the net but understands that tip-ins are the payoff. Conroy, Demitra and Jeremy Roenick are solid on the perimeter, but they don't hold court in front of the net. Dustin Brown is a natural to cause trouble in the slot, but early season penalty calls against him seem have to taken some of his edge off.
I've been saying this for a while. We got some traffic in front tonight, and we were successful on the PP.

It would be great to get a true banging powerforward, or get Brown some more PP.

I don't like Tkachuk, but if he were healthy and money wasn't an issue he would be a great fit

I like Tkachuk's play. Brown-Roenick-Tkachuk? Ouch.

Exactly. That line would be a great compliment to the FCD line.

He lost all the weight, at the deadline, it wouldnt be so bad, overrated? Since when? Teams would go ******* trying to stop our top two lines if we had Tkachuk. Want to see Brown develop a mean streak? Let him play with Roenick and Tkachuk.

Yeah, I read it. Basically, you are saying you'd like to have Tkachuk if he didn't have half of the qualities that make him Tkachuk.

I think adding him would be a chemistry disaster. He's always been a jerk, imho, and his conduct coming back from the lockout, when his cap-strangled team needed him more than ever, was inexcusable.

Instead of the CPA line, they should just be called the CAP line. It'd be a nice irony in a post-lockout world.

I think Bob was thinking the same thing when he came up with the CPA line.

NEXT!
