Hope you don't mind that I turned this into the game thread RB. Seemed like a good way to start it off.

1:00pm start. Payback time.

An injury update for Carolina

Quote:
Brind'Amour(groin) and Glen Wesley (groin) won't make the trip to New York, either. Ray Whitney, Aaron Ward(anklle) and Eric Staal(back) sat out, too, although all three are likely to play today
http://www.newsobserver.com/796/story/369026.html

Staal missed some of the 3rd period on Thursday with a upper body injury(back)

Martin Gerber is the probable goalie

Weekes should be pumped to play against his old team. I hope Rangers are ready since its a day game. I predict 4-2 Rangers win. Jagr, Rucchin, Moore and Prucha with the goals. Cole and Staal for the Canes.

Games after you get crushed are big games to see a team's true skill/determination. I think if they play well this afternoon they can get right back on track before this stretch of inferior opponents. I do not want this team having trouble during the easiest part of their schedule. But that's the future. As for today, cmon Weekes.

Aint that just great?
When (almost) entire Sweden can get the game on decent time, that crap keeper Weak gets to start.

Lookin' forward to the game, though!

Not really. Because Lundy has one game where he is not superhuman that means he will get thrown in the backup duties. Both will play a lot of games, and unless one goes down with an injury that is how I see it panning out for the whole season. 60/40, or 50/50.

Im positive Lundqvist will start tomorrow night against Boston.

I kind of question starting Weekes tonight. I know myself, after having a game like Lundqvist did (again it wasn't terrible, just off), I'd want to be back in against Carolina. After a game like that you can't sleep. You start seeing their jerseys in practice, and you're hungry all the ****ing time. I'd be mad, and hopefully Lundy comes out and throttles his next oppoents - that's what I'd do.

We will see if Weekes has an advantage playing against Carolina. The Flyers are playing the penguins today so, our being tied for 1st in the divsion is under fire today. Let's end this Carolina winning streak!

Funny to hear them talking about Fleury and how the Pens STILL can't afford his bonus for playing 25 games. They sure had enough money to throw at Palffy, Gonchar, Leclair, and Recchi.

The Penguins are the joke of hockey and make me effing sick.

They can't play Fleury because they can't pay him. So why did they sign EFFING T-BO to be the #1?

Why did they throw the bank at Recchi, Gonchar, Palffy, and LeClair?

That team and franchise is a JOKE to the game.
