Flyers @ Penguins GDT, 11/19/05 -- no flame wars

I'm starting the GDT. If Lion of the North or Hungry4hockey want to do their thing in this thread, do it.

As an in-state rivalry it's ok to be passonate and get into spiritied discussions

Because of the theatics last night, many people got into pissing matches, and not only that took it over to the Pittsburgh board.

This is everyone's general warning right now not to let it happen again. The warnings will be swift if needed, and if anyone even tries to start a flame war you're going to wish you hadn't.

Considering the Penguins' pattern of looking solid one night, and melting down the next, I would expect this to be 7-3 Philly.

LotN, Sim and Handzus should be flipped. Handzus played LW last night.

Frank in nets? Another OT game it is then.

Well now you're just kidding yourself. The Flyers only give up 3 goals on the PK tonight? I'll believe it when I see it.

(If anyone is wonder what the hell just happened, I accidentally hit "edit" instead of "quote" on Brad's post. Sorry Brad.)

Lemieux's a no-go again tonight? That means it's all Crosby all the time for the Pens...

I should have picked up on that.

I was confused and lost. A lot like Chris Therien.

Fixed, thanks

As for Frank:

Quote:
Robert Esche starts in goal for the Flyers tonight when they host the Atlanta Thrashers. Hitchcock has not announced a starter for Saturday’s game in Pittsburgh, but he appears to be leaning toward Antero Niittymaki.

Win or lose, Pens need a beating... So I demand Brashear, Stevenson, Hatcher, hell even Richards to start a fight!

I dont know why we should be talking about lessons learned but here we are 18 games into the season and the Flyers learned a lesson. Never under any circumstances sit on a lead especially against a dangerous offensive hockey team. We all know how the Flyers lost last night and well it was their own fault. if they would have attacked some more and played the 3rd exactly like the 2nd those 2 bs goals in the last minute wouldnt have meant a thing.

Good luck at tonight's game...

should be a sellout with last night's Light-up Night kicking off the holiday season.

at this point i'm not even sure what to think.
can't wait for the game.....should be great, but there are a few variables we won't be able to consider until the puck drops.

3rd game in 4 nights, Flyers have not playing all that well. We will see if what this team is made of tonight. I don't see them winning this game and can possibly see a blow out, hope I am wrong though.

You'll never counter my bowl"ing" abilities. I have a pretty much endless supply of "bowling material" Try as you may but i shan't be defeated.

Flyers 6 (Pitkanen, Forsberg, Stevenson, Carter, Richards, Gagne)
(Pittsburgh 4 (Crosby 2, Palffy 2)

i cant wait untill this one starts, i had bought tickets to go to ths one so i could tear up some havoc in pitts when philly wins but, never got the tickets, so im not going, but my intensity for tonight's game is still the same

Ghost, tonight to prove your immense bowling skillz, you should do a bowl for every Crosby dive. I'm not sure if even you have enough "supplies" for that though.
