Fire Lindy Ruff...

Plain and simple, what the hell is he thinking...

Putting in Biron and sending out the incapable Chris Drury on the shoot-out...

Honestly this **** is getting really old.....

Well, it's possible that Noronen was injured and needed to be replaced, so I'll reserve judgement on that.

Drury in the SO is a brain cramp of the first order and an impeachable offense. Ruff has at least two better options in Connolly and Vanek.

Forget Connolly and Vanek... I was expecting Maxim as the third shooter, you guys have an exciting player with him.

Exciting player, no hands. If he can't pull the goalie out of position he'll bury into the goalie's chest 98 times out of a 100. Still a better option than Drury though.

Ruff's explanation made sense. "what if they didnt even get to jagr" drury played hard but still you have to go for the win and someone skilled.

hey why does our team pay drury so much money if he can't be counted on for the ocassional shootout. drury missed.. so lets fire ruff.

don't you have a burning building to save or perhaps some famous masterpiece to paint.

That is just plain heinous coaching.

You don't bring a cold goalie in who hasn't faced a shot in at least 3 hours against the cream of the Rangers finishing crop.

You don't make that goalie follow a guy who has been hot all night, and clearly has the crowd on his side and on their feet. Damn, I feel for Marty for that -- he had no chance.

You don't put your co-captain in a position like he did to Drury. The guy has problems finishing, and you match him up against JAGR?? The cure for impotence is not bigger and bigger challenges. There's no way he can succeed, and he'll only feel worse after. Drury needs something to build his confidence, not destroy it.

Likewise, in a powerplay late in the 3rd, you don't bench the Young Gun when he's been doing all the little things that you've been asking.

I don't buy for a second that Mika wanted out. If he did, he has no heart whatsoever, and I just don't buy that. Go-to-guys play through hurt, especially when the game is on the line, and there is a defined, finite number of chances he'll have to face. Mika wants to show that he *is* a go-to-guy -- there's no way he pulls himself out. Period.

So, in short, Lindy's crap tonight has hurt the confidence of:
- Mika
- Marty
- Vanek
- Drury

Bang-up job, dip****.

bad coaching??? about mika's injury. you have the wrong idea. it wasn't because he wanted to but because he had to. everyone knows biron is creepy on the shootout.

at least we didn't loose with 2 mins left it ot. so who knows about tomorrows night game. i bet alot of good coaches are working really had to give advice.

im just saying.. you start a thread saying fire the coach. don't expect to piss anyone off. expecially when you blame lindy ruff for mika's injury. As far as chris drury, you weren't saying he was incapable when he scored the first goal. Im not sure but does he make more then briere? yes i wanted to see vanek or connolly. they have been fun to follow all season.

it just seems like a bunch of garbage to gripe about lindy ruff so much. expecially when you have no idea about the game after.

it should be a fun one. maybe expect a big game from vanek drury and connolly.. who knows maybe all on the same line.

In case your parents haven't had the talk with you, drug are bad mKay?

Anyway -- I don't want Lindy fired -- I want him to stop trying to outcoach himself. That's when he loses us games.

I diagree. It's not a hateful disagreement, and I understand you're upset, but I'm not in favor of this reflex suggestion to fire Lindy over a mistake in judgement. Mika was sore down in his nether regions. Drury? Hey, it's his call. I probably would've chosen someone else. I'll leave it at that.

Fire him so that Vanek doesn't turn into the next Max and play with zero confidence.

And fire him for not splitting up the dynamic Grier/Drury combo yet.

Perhaps you're misreading me if you think I'm insulting your family. I apologize for any hurt feelings.
