Steve Kelly appears to be OUT of Mannheim

From the Adler Mannheim web site and translated by google:

16. November 2005
Eagles give time off Steve Kelly with immediate effect

The eagles separated in the today's morning from stuermer Steve Kelly. The 29-jaehrige Canadian played since summer 2004 in the leotard of the eagles.

Eagle Headcoach Stéphane Richer communicated Kelly before today's training that he with him do not plan no more. Richer saw no more basis after several discussions with the Canadian to continue to work with the stuermer in the future.

The license of Steve Kelly cannot be replaced.

The Kings qualified Kelly at the end of the 03-04 season which I think means they retained his NHL rights. He may not be of much help to the Kings in the NHL at this point, BUT, there is a need for a center in Manchester this season and likely next as well. I hope the Kings at least consider bringing him to Manchester if he's interested...

He'd have to pass through waivers if he signed with L.A. I'm not sure if he could sign directly with the Monarchs for the remainder of this season and therfore not have to pass through waivers...

this of course depends on whether or not Kelly would accept going to Manchester or not.

Exactly. At this point who knows if he even wants to come back to N.A. He might seek work in another European league.

he's always looked good in the leotard of the Monarchs.

Leotard. The Deutchers do like that skin tight thing, see David Hasslehoff.
