We've all heard the Gagne/Vermette comparisons, but what are some other comparisons that can be made?
One I heard on the Prospect board was Vermette to Marco Sturm of the Sharks. Great 2-way player who could put up 30 goals.
And, after watching Thursday's game, I thought Vermette looked a lot like Arvedson out there, and not just because they had the same number. Similar styles but Vermette may have more offensive potential.
i think gagne has more upside than vermette, but i also agree that he could easily be compared to sturm. like him, vermette has speed, defensive awardness, etc ...
