We haven't gotten an update for a couple of weeks now. In this case, no news is bad news. He's definitely still weeks away at the very minimum.

The last I had heard was that he had gotten more shots in his back which were not helpful at all, this must have been about a week ago or so.

There's an update (if you can call it that) in this morning's paper. Nothing is working (still) and Bure went to see yet another back specialist a couple days ago.

L.A. Times

I hope they find a treatment that works sooner rather than later. The Kings PP could really use this guy about now.

I'm getting the feeling that its time to set the date to have the disk removed if he doesn't start to get better.

The sooner he gets it done the less atrophy of the back muscles he's going to have to deal with.

In all the best thing for him at this point is to not play at all this season and get a full recovery from the surgery.

Oh well, can't balme DT for making the effort.

Didn't doctors say that surgery wasn't an option?
