So apparently Belarus players will still count as foreingers, that explains why platt was released :/

But CSKA already has an overflow of forwards, makes no sense IMO. Good players are going to waste away on the 4th line any way things shake out. Same with goaltending, what are they doing?
Because CSKA is going for the title and you need a lot of good players to win it. Platt is a 3rd liner on a contending team anyway.

And Sorokin playing in the VHL doesn't really harm anyone, he's not really a KHL starter yet anyways, on any team.

So Sibir finally gets their long awaited 1C in Tomas Vincour. Not great, definitely better than nothing.

From what I understand he just doesn't like playing in Russia all that much.

He hopes to come back to Avangard in 2016-2017. Right now he wants to be nearby to his newly born daughter

Antropov said he conducts negotiations with couple NHL teams. But refused to name them.

The president of KHL Chernyshenko said that Belorussian and Kazakh players are not legioners in this season.

I guess the price for "Kazakh" players Bochensky and Dallman and "Belarussian" Platt just jumped up.

I heard it's Quebec Nordiques and Atlanta Thrashers. If it doesn't work out, I hear Hartford Whalers are ready to make a bid.

Barys has had a couple of good Russians - Spiridonov and Glazachev. Kvasha, not so much. But, they should try and sign more.

Am I the only one surprised Skladnichenko stayed with the Marlies rather than return to the KHL?

No, Kuznya is the one KHL team where a forward won't get hindered. Skladnichenko doesn't have some amazing skillset, so it would be a better route for him back home IMO.

Sochi has released Konstantin Koltsov, Torpedo has released Vyacheslav Makritsky, Vityaz has released Ilya Shinkevich and Spartak has released Dmitri Korobov and Andrei Antonov. This is most likely due to the new rule that counts players from Belarus as foreigners.

Here's an article with Alexei Zhamnov talking about the departures of Korobov and Antonov: http://tass.ru/sport/2214633
