Will get traded to contender in mid-January.

Obviously I'm very happy with this signing. And playing for Amur is (or can be) quite rewarding, considering the fan base. Kvapil is not an option anymore for a real contender like SKA or Magnitka.

And considering he signed in April the overall conditions must have been more than ok

Weird timing. Kometa is still in the Extraliga playoff.

Shalunov, Shumakov and Okulov all leaving Sibir for CSKA.

https://m.championat.com/news/sport/hockey/2769464/

That's a coup.

So much for Shalunov to NHL rumor.

If the transfer fee is true, then it is OK. Transfers from Europe to NHL should work like that.

I hope Sibir can use this money to rebuild and create a good team. Skabelka is also gone. I have weak points towards some teams, Sibir being one of them. Loyal fans. A great city. The guys must be in top 6 every year, contending for the title more often that not.

They got more compensation for those three players than an entire above average European CHL team. It is becoming apparent that the KHL is head and shoulders above any competition on the continent.

Top AHL team had player salaries of ~$3,000,000 in 2012/2013 by the way. The KHL is therefore fully solidified as second only behind the global top tier, the NHL.

The NHL is benefiting from this, by the way. This can be seen by high quality players solidifying NHL rosters and significantly improving the team. Without even spending a draft pick in some cases.

They better send some forwards the other way, lots of young talented CSKA forwards who will not get a chance at a roster spot next year because of this. The transfer is upsetting.

Well he is out of contract, so this is only a transfer of player rights. If he will chose so, he can decide to not sign a contract with CSKA and head abroad.

He claimed that Kuznya has reached his agent, but I'm not sure if they can really afford him.

Philip Larsen changes from Vancouver to Salavat and Nikita Tryamkin from Vancouver to Avtomobilist.

Maybe next year SKA and CSKA will be awarded two teams each.

Why are guys treating Kalinin signing like some sort of big get?

It's freaking Kalinin.

We are more disappointed about having two teams with 100 players each.

What was the issue? I thought he was well liked in Vancouver, I know he said he wanted more ice time but they just fired Dejardins?

Well he wants ice time and it looks like he felt pretty home-sick. Also he couldn't have returned to any other team since he is RFA. In theory, that is. In real life he could have pushed Avto into selling his rights but again, looks like he genuinely wants to play in a home town.

Avto has some better financial backing now, don't they?
