puck needs to settle down for the rangers...they're having trouble getting things going cuz they can't keep control of the puck well

for the most part the rangers controlled this period but couldn't get good chances...made a few mistakes too and could stand to tighten things up

hmm, it doesnt' really seem to me like the rangers were outplayed that bad this period...they didnt' get a lot of shots but controlled the puck early for the most part.

they got too fancy a few times with passes though and that led to chances against, but i don't think the shot totals really quite indicate how the first period went. can definatly stand to turn it up a notch though in the 2nd

and the feed i'm getting from comcast sportsnet absolutely sucks. it's so far back i can't make anything decent out. terrible

This is ridiculous. We should be down like 4-1, if it wasn't for Lundqvist. I've posted too many times with "What a save by Lundqivst." A man should not type that many times. HMO was the best line again, Poti got caught up ice too often, leaving Tyutin to cover for him... Ward is continuing to prove his value to the team and with the last game's performance and this short-hander he's proven to me that he is a legitimate 3rd liner. What a work ethic on that goal. Kondratiev actually looked decent. Not spectacular, but decent. 2nd line was the worst line. Yeah, we need Rucchin back. He got things done for that line. All 3 2nd liners looked invisible.

lundqvist made one good glovesave that he should make anyways...and one real good save on cassels on the PP

other than that i didn't see anything that was a "wow, that would have been a goal!" save

rangers need to do better but i just don't see this as being that bad so far

All I would have to say is....we shouldn't be outshot like we were.....but other than that, we were decent. The Capitals only had a couple great scoring chances. We just have to start skating better, and stop turning the puck over....but I see no reason why we shouldn't.

Well that was dreadfull. A performance that reminded me of the last 8 years, save for the stellar goaltending by Henke. And, off course the PK. The Rangers are outworked and are getting splattered all over the ice. The Prucha hit needs to be answered. As does the Ortmeyer getting hit from behind. You cannot just allow a team like the Caps to come into your building and make you run and hide from the constant hitting. They Rangers are simply getting run out of the building right now. Cannot allow that on your own ice. Either Strudwick needs to drop the gloves, as enough is enough, or Kasper, Hollweg & Neimo need to ensure that Ovechkin has a HUGE target on him for the duration of the game. Actually, not just him, but they just need to go out and hit everything that moves. Getting slapped around so hard by a team like the Caps, in your own building is not so great.

So far, much line anyone else who has been his center. Betts, Rucchin....I do not think that it would make a difference if TGO was his center. Whatever "it" is, Hossa does not have it. Prucha does, Hossa does not.

Sometimes he has "it" and a lot of times he does not. For the Rangers' future, let's hope he'll find "it."
