Sometimes he has "it" and a lot of times he does not. For the Rangers' future, let's hope he'll find "it."
Aside from any other argument that I have made against him, 1 point in 7 2/3 games now. I'd say that more often than not, he does not have "it". Actually, to me, he just does not have "it" period. When you have it, you have it. It is becoming more and more obvious that Hossa does not.
Look at it this way. We have bantered for the last 10 days or so about what happens when Rucinsky returns. In all that time, what has Hossa done to showcase himself? Not much, aside from one assist. ALL other forwards pull their weight. Does Hossa? I would say not. How can he? The team relies on him for one thing and one thing only, come up with some points. I think that at this point, it is not unfair to say that he is failing miserably to measure up.
The glass is half-full view of the first two periods
The Rangers are a very tired team. The amount of games that they have played is utterly ridiculous. Heck, Ottawa has 6 games in hand. Not two or three. But 6. So, you can make the correlation that the Rangers simply are wiped out. In addittion to that, they are simply being smashed to pieces by the Caps. That only adds on. Hopefully this team can hang on and get at least a point.
