Well the play was really quick and Jamie was out on the puck early as he saw the puck SLOWLY go around Gauthier. Torres panicked a little and shot early... he could have made it 5 hole though. The opening was there.

Cross is again on the PP,... im really starting to question Mact's coaching......

were about to go 5 scorless periods without a goal, and the team doesnt exactly look motivated.

This game has me truly scared about the Oilers this season. Even moreso than the Vancouver game. I am really starting to question MacT more and more. Why the hell is Semenov sitting. I just don't understand.

Ferguson and Pisani would be a great 7th defensemen and 13th forward. I just don't understand why MacT will not allow them to fill those roles.

On one other note, it's amazing how time changes perspectives on trades.

Entering the playoffs, the Anson Carter and Pisa for Radek Dvorak and Cory Cross actually looked pretty good. Now, Dvorak just doesn't look like he belongs on a top line, Carter did. And MacT is so in love with Cross that he has Semenov in the pressbox, I would much prefer a lineup with Semenov on the top pairing and Pisa at a 1/3 of Cross' money sitting in the pressbox.

On the other hand, it sure hurts to be missing Janne Niinimaa, but if you ask me, this trade does not look that bad. I think both Isbister and Torres are solid additions to the team and we had the defensive depth to somewhat cover it off. The biggest problem is the Oilers lack of AC like production from Dvorak and the fact that Comrie is holding out.

He took his time getting around that d-man, and had the goalie completely faked out. Just panicked, not good at all. That's the kind of thing that loses games. All he had to do was hold on, stick handle once, and deposit the puck into the empty net, just like Chimera the other night. Those kind of missed chances drive me nuts.......

It wasn't as easy as it looked. Mclennen rushed out and was right in front of him. If he had the time, he would have made the right play.

If he had waited like Chimera, McLennen would have just put his hand on the puck as he was charging from his crease fast.

Pisani looks like a SHADOW of his last year's Fernando. He is nowhere near as effective on the boards as he was during the stretch last year when he found his home on the third line.

I don't think you can do that. If it's that far outside the crease, you can't freeze the puck... it would be a delay of game penalty. But Jamie was in position to swipe it away though.

Panicking has this magical way of making it seem that way. He had the time, but he panicked, you could see it. Had the room too, no D-man on the other side.

MacT has no idea how to run a bench when his team is behind or getting in trouble. That's why I think he isn't going to become a good NHL coach, he just doesn't have a sense for it at all.

I'll never forget the numerous posts on how the Oilers wouldn't miss Comrie at the start of the season.

Unfortunately, I don't think we have a shot at Ovechkin, I don't think we have a hope in hell of being worse than Pittsburgh.

Where the hell is Semenov. MacT during the CBA strike you should go learn to coach since I don't think Lowe will ever fire you.

disgracefull..... shutout by Jamie Mclenan and the Flames. Scoreless in 6 periods, We need some answers to why the Oilers are being out-hustled, and out played by the Calgary Flames. Is it as simple as MacT vs Sutter?

the only certain thing now is that Klowe wont be sitting on his hands much longer. judging by this game, something is coming soon.

Well now. Nothing like spreading good cheer throughout the west.

I'm going to love seeing the minutes from this game, Cross may end up in the top 5 at year's end if this rate continues, or maybe it just felt like he was out there every bloody shift.

They had alot of try in the third period, there's no doubt, but that center position is looking mighty undermanned right now. I give York credit he isn't playing well but he stood in there and got mauled a couple of times. I think they need to get him back to the wing.

The problem right now is that they can't follow one play up with another good play. Hemsky feathered a gorgeous pass to Isbister, and Isbister makes a great move by Gauthier but then takes the first shot available to him. Horcoff slips a beauty to Torres, he misses the net.

As frustrated as we are, imagine how the Oil feel after this road trip.

Should have stayed home. Oh well, Salo's save pct MUST be over .900 by now.

Now that Salo's brought his A game the rest of the team is letting him down. Not surprised
