Everything Avery does is dirty. Every hit a cheapshot, every goal the result of a missed penalty. He is the Pigpen of the Kings lockerroom.

Hogey is tearing it up in Reading...Just giving props where props are due....

From the Royals Weekly Release #6

Greg Hogeboom scored Reading’s first goal in the 5-0 win on Tuesday at the 2:00 mark of the first period. Hogeboom also assisted on the second goal for the Royals on Tuesday.

Hogeboom’s goal on Tuesday proved to be the game winner—his first gwg of the season.

Hogeboom also assisted on two goals in the Royals 3-2 win over Toledo on Friday night.

Friday’s game marked the fifth consecutive multi-point game for Hogeboom, a streak that ended on Saturday, when he “only” scored one goal—the team’s first goal—in Reading’s 5-1 win over Trenton.

Over the course of the season, Hogeboom has had seven multi-point games in the thirteen that he has played for the team.

Hogeboom is currently on a six game point streak, during which he has scored four goals and assisted on nine others.

Hogeboom has had at least one point in nine of the thirteen games he has played for the Royals this season.

Hogeboom is the leading scorer for the Royals with five goals and thirteen assists for eighteen points.

Hogeboom’s 18 points ranks fourteenth amongst the players in the ECHL and third amongst first year pros in the ECHL.

Hogeboom’s 13 assists leads all ECHL rookies in that category.

I'd still love to have Maltby on my team. He's an all-around good player. He just left a bad taste in my mouth the last time the Kings played Detroit at home.

My apologies to all.

So is Hogeboom being projected as a scoring forward then? It seems that he's in Reading since it's a better "developmental situation" (Taylor-speak) in terms of ice time.

I'd imagine he could hold his own as a checking forward in Manchester...?

Dempsey's in, Weaver's out...

AM is making the goalie decision on a "day-to-day" basis, not a goalie rotation, so I guess if LaBarbera impresses tonight, he plays the next game too?

And thankfully Flinn is doing well but they still want to wait a few weeks to make sure there are no lingering effects from the concussion

No apology needed here...

It appears that Hogey is getting top line time in Reading at he's doing well with it. It's probably a better situation for him than having to compete with the numbers in Manchester...

I don't think Hogey would have much of a problem in a checking line role in Manchester at all...
