Do Not Feed The Trolls

Found this on another message board.

Trolls are nothing more than a nuisance if nobody responds, but WE make them problems by responding to them.

Make life easier on us all and do not feed the trolls.

Ignore them and they go away.

It can be hard (believe me) but I try my best. I just want to continue learning things from here, not get into fights.

Canuck fans are like relatives. They come over and miss the toilet, drink your beer and take the drumstick, but they're family so what the hell are young going to do. Someday they'll win a Cup and be less pissy about it all.

Thanks for this post Lowetide. I needed a good laugh. This did the trick.

Hey, here's a thought....

Instead of Moderators, can each board have their own special ops team of troll hunters? hahaha... that would be a nice touch.

I doubt that.

Judging by the way they act after they win a regular season game against us I'd hate to think about what it would be like if the Oilers ever lost a playoff series to them, or if they won the cup.

Hey! If you mix up the letters in "The CAnucks" and shake them really fast, they seem to spell "trolling".

I think it's a real minority of Canuck fans that come here and purposely try to get under people's skin. But it bugs me when Canuck fans complain about some jerk coming on their board and excuse it when Canuck supporters do it to other people. Either way the best way to deal with it is to ignore it.

Losing on the ice: out of our control.

Losing in the troll-wars: our own fault.

I didn't think I'd ever see references to the Jargon File here. Kudos.
Trolling is why I came here from Usenet. I don't want to have to stop reading here, because of the same behaviour. (Eh Bart? )
