Our achilies heel has always been playoff goaltending. Something has to be done.

The way the Flyers left Nitty out to hang against the Habs was totally embarrassing. There is no way anyone can blame him for this loss. And Bernie P. could have been in nets...we would have still been creamed!

Cujo will NOT give us a better chance at the cup this year (maybe the Cujo of 1995???).

CuJo has looked horrible for Phoenix as of late. Gretzky played him way too much in the beginning of the season and it's starting to show. That being said, I expect that the 2-week Olympic break will help rejuvinate him temporarily, but come mid-March, he will look fatigued again.

...pretty much. He's too old and had a lay off because of the lockout, almost every other player his age decided to retire because they couldn't keep up with it. He'll probably be contemplating retirement once the Coyotes get knocked out of playoff contention.

Cujo has already said that this is not his last year of hockey! Retirement is not an option this year. He is having a good year with 20+ wins. He is human and will have bad streches , just like Esche. Every goalie goes through some hard times , at points of the season. Careful not to put down Cujo, as he is going to be on your roster in the near future. It has been said that Philly is scouting him , and Bob Clarke will look for experience in the playoffs(Goaltending). Remember; the last playoff year 03' /04' , Cujo lead all goalies in save%&GAA. Sure he didn't win the cup, but it wasn't because of him.

I'm not really sure that yet another Phoenix Coyote goaltender is the answer.

If Cujo were to come to the Flyers, i would doubt that he'd be able to carry the playoff load. He's no kid.

He was, key word was, having a good season, but is starting to show fatigue from being overplayed. This isn't a bad stretch per se, he just doesn't have anything
left in the tank and cannot be relied on to carry the load during the playoffs.

He will make an excellent veteran backup next season for a team with a young goaltender.

It's also more clutter on the forum that could use the space for legitimate threads.

I don't really know who I want as the starter, but Esche certainly didn't blow it for himself tonight.

I thought Esche played well tonight. He cost the only goal all by himself but he made some GREAT saves. I think this game a was a + in the goalie battle for Esche. Lets see ahat Nitty has for the Rangers game.
