GDT 12/01/05 Wild at Predators

I had very good mojo today so I'm pouring it all into this GDT, time for the Preds to win again!

I wish I could have seen the game the other night. It sounded like a good one.

not mentioned anywhere on here i see..

allison will miss tonight's game due to "personal issues", pattypred says it's because his wife is pregnant, and if anyone would know it'd be patty...

zanon called up for tonight's game...zanon playing with a face shield because of taking a puck in the face this week.. klein missed last night's game for Milwaukee with a pulled groin, so he wasn't an option... guess it came down to zanon or weber for a 1 game call up and they went with the experience

johnson skated yesterday but is only possible tonight, markov didn't skate yesterday and is still listed as doubtful... beginning to wonder if they don't put him on IR and use the Zanon call up as an "injury replacement" so that zanon doesn't have to clear waivers to be sent back down

Vokoun just should have had it.

call me greedy but I'd like to get more from Kariya. Don't get me wrong, I love what he gives the team I just want bigger numbers from him in the new NHL. That being said, I love having him and I and I'm crazy about what Sully brings to this team. Boy, is he exciting or what?

Mojo worked tonight. Detroit lost We won guess we will drop 12 spots in ESPN's power ratings while The Wings will move up to #1

I'm starting to get fed up with the scheduling. I have classes from 6 to 9 on Tuesday and Thursday.

Someone please give a good solid recap! I don't have much Preds hockey left to watch as I have to move to Miami in August of next year.

If my math is correct (and God help us if it isn't as I am an accountant), we are 3 points down on Detroit with 4 games in hand. There is only one team that you can definitely say has a better record than us and that is Ottawa.

Periods 1 and 2, absolute domination by the Preds, took the "shoot, no matter what" advice to heart(except Kariya, Sullivan and Erat, who were all still looking to pass...but Hall, Hartnell, Hamhuis and Suter were shooting with reckless abandon). Shot count was 29-11 in favor of the Preds at one point. Wasn't impressed with Zanon, reminded of Allison with more penalties, but it was his first game so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Third period, tried to sit back and got cute again, went into defensive mode and Vokoun made a few huge saves to keep the game from getting tied up.

Zanon picked up an assist. The main thing about his game that I liked was the fact that we had as many shots in this game as the previous two games combined. Just throw the puck towards the net guys and lets see what happens. The pretty passes are nice when they happen, but sometimes we get a little too cute.
