St. Louis/Boston proposal

I don't do these... but here is one that I could see making sense...

St. Louis
Weight
Jackman
Lalime (to be backup)

Boston
Murray
Raycroft
Slegr
Gill
pick

thoughts? It's hard being a Bruins fan and not being biased. Slegr/Gill as UFA's come bring St. Louis some kind of return at trade deadline time...

If I'm St. Louis, I probably keep Jackman around. You could probably focus more on Weight, with St. Louis probably looking for a 2006-07 NHL ready prospect.

Take Jackman out. Plus, I don't think Weight waives his NTC to go to Boston, and we have *no* interest in Slegr or Gill.

(I won't even mention the fact that Bill Laurie isn't about to add Murray - who has a 4-year, $16.6 million contract - to the payroll.)

Jackman is UNTOUCHABLE. PERIOD, End of Discussion.

Weight could be had; but Murray isn't the type of return we're looking for. Start with Boynton or Samsonov(perferably Boynton) and a prospect.

Colt,
St. Louis is in a rebuilding mode. Getting rid of Jackman for any of those aging players is not an option. I agree with IB that there is a snowball's chance the Blues add a salary like Murray.

Keep trying.

Is Weight unrestricted after this year or next?

Would you take a 3rd round pick? Dallman and/or Jurcina are defense prospects that are ready or will be in '06-07.

What do would you want for him?

Yes, he's UFA after this year.

We want forwards with scoring talent. Or draft picks. Or both. No defense, no goalies.
