I dunno why it's called the "Marek Malik" move now. If I remember correctly, Lemieux was the first one to do it.

Mario Lemieux wishes he were the offensive genius that Marek Malik is.

Weaver has been totally beaten for goals in back-to-back games now.

I dont care if it's Dempsey, Petiot, Grebs or we trade for another defenseman, we need someone else in there.

Jagr was the first I ever saw do it. Think it was back in '96. 'Course back then we called it "the future Marek Malik move". Nobody knew who Marek Malik was, but we didn't care, we were young and full of life before the Republicans came to power. 'Course we in Canada were still under the Liberals. Used to paint the town liberal red whenever the Russian ambassadors came t' town. Absolut great time that was. We'd have borscht and stroganoff and sing songs about the future when the Marek Malik move would be tried by everybody. Then again, them Russians, they were calling it the Ovechkin move by that point. Kid was only knee high to a PEI tractor pull but he sher could score, well, with "the future Marek Malik move that was first done by Jagr but copyrighted by the Russian Alexander Ovechkin" anyways. Ahhhhhhhhh.... the good ol' days when Aki Berg was gonna win us a Norris......

Rambling coot with way too long posts,

T2M

Belanger is apparently the only player who understands that tossing the puck into the crease can create something out of nothing. What a concept! Kings players refused to do that in the first period.

Good for Belanger to pop one in home territory.

Seems like Luc is getting more ice time.

Or maybe I'm just noticing him more because there has be a big deal made about his homecoming.

For anyone interested, DOn Cherry just mentioned on Coach's Corner that he doesn't think Murray should've been fined.

He also did a little segment on Shanahan's fight with Gleason. He was giving props to Shanny mostly...he liked the shot of him washing the blood off his face in the box. But he also said that he liked Gleason.

How about that! Belanger lays it on Ryder. But hey, somehow it will be Avery's fault.

he's ok for periods at a time but when he screws up he screws up big time and costs the kings alot.

i agree, kings could not do any worse than petiot in there...

on another note, i think the kings are blessed with having one of the best 3rd lines in hockey...cowan-belanger-avery has done an amazing job so far this year.

Maybe it's a good thing that I live in Sweden and can't SEE our defense, it's bad enough to hear and read about it...

Hmm...Belanger and Frolov = total puck control during that 4-on-4...maybe try them together for a little?
The Fro-Conroy-Demitra line has not been creating nor producing, and I have a feeling they won't be together for very much longer without creating some scoring chances...
Ebel has been playing very well so far today too.
