Jared Staal?

I just came across this name in a list of available 2006 OHL draftees, Am I mistaken or is this the youngest and potentially best member of the Staal family everyone has been talking about?

Yep

There is indeed one Staal left to go. He will be coming up in the next draft I believe.

I think thats Jordan, wow im so confused. Couldnt they just have had one/two adopted hence new names, so confusing.

Eric is the oldest, Marc got drafted this year, Jordan is eligable this year for the draft and Jared will be in the OHL next year?

I don't believe so.... definitely first round, but I'm hearing more in the 8-12 range.

Yes, Jared will be drafted to the OHL this year (I'm assuming that's what the original poster was asking)

Talking about Jordan now right lol?

I heard Jordan could be drafted anywhere between 4-10 range at the moment. That slightly confuses me as he is supposed to be more talented than Eric from what ive heard.

hahah, well i got the "J" right! So Jared is eligable for this years OHL draft, and so one year younger than me, so the 2008 nhl draft. If Jared is supposed to be the best, 8-12 is a little low. I dont know where the others went in the OHL draft, and screw looking it up it will just confuse me more.

I have heard that Jared is not as talented as his brothers and will be a later round OHL pick.

I've heard the same, he's 6th on his team in scoring, below a point a game. That's not good in midget when most 1st rounders have like 20-30 points more per game. His fathers even said it's hard to get him going. He has good size though.

I know the question was about the OHL draft, but I posted this on another board regarding a question about the Staal brothers and their ages, etc.

after Eric,

Marc Staal, 18, Sudbury Wolves (OHL) defenseman, 12th pick in 2005 by NYR

Jordan Staal, 17, Peterborough Pete forward/center, 2006 NHL draft eligible, 9/10/88, 6'4 1/2, 208

http://www.gopetesgo.com/pages/team.php

Jared Staal, 15, Thunder Bay Kings, midget minor, forward, 6'1/2" 171 09/21/1990 (listed as 8/21/90 on last year's roster, which one is the typo, it makes a difference given the Sept 15 draft criteria, but I think he is 2008 NHL draft eligible)

http://www.thunderbaykings.com/minor/roster.html

and a recent article about them:

You're a little confused. Jordan is already in the OHL playing for Peterborough. The youngest brother, Jared, will be the last one.

GagneOwnsYou, what did you do?!!? I thought they don't let you near Thunder Bay any more!!

When those three make the NHL, we'll all be like "Hey, I know the poster who illegitimately fathered those players!!!!"

I'm leaning towards naming them James, Jake and John. You know, keep it in the family.

Actually, Jared will be the last (hidden/secret siblings aside) since Jordan is already playing with the Petes.

Look on the bright side if any of you find this confusing. If their dad was George Foreman, they would all have been named George!
