Aucoin pulled his hamstring again. If hes expectedout for awhile then h emight be recalled immediatly. Our top 6 is set and Simpson is our 7th so unless someone goes down with an injury no defenseman will be recalled.
If Aucoin is out Id prefer to dress Babchuck over Simpson who is very limiited as a player.
EDIT:He was just called up this morning due to Aucoin's groin injury.

He is scheduled to be in the lineup and paired with Cullimore who he was paired with in the preseason, barring a last minute recovery by the injured Aucoin (pulled groin) which would land him on the bench.
Rangers fan here, I thought Babchuk played very well. He was a shadow on our forwards all night. Duncan Keith was better, but that's because he's a better skater imo. Babchuk didn't get into the game offensively really but you can't expect the world from the kid in his first game up. IMO he looked solid.
Chicago fans would have better insight as to the team workings itself though.
Michal Barinka was recalled today.... youngest. defense. ever.
THe "D" that will lead us to the Promised Land is now almost there---add Barker next year and watch out NHL!
Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook as rookies have outshone the "vets" and have already become leaders from the back-end playing tons of minutes..now Babchuk and Barinka get their chance...If they excel as the first 2 have then they ought to package up Aucoin and Cullimore and deal them as they have underwhelmed for the big $$$ the Hawks are paying them..If the kids shine better,so be it! The vet Spacek is ok and so is the "young vet" Vandermeer=that's enough "older example" for the 4 kids ..and Barker's still to come next year! AWESOME!
