If there is Henke - Frölunda connection... like it seems...then Henke will allow 2 goals tonight and NYR will win the game as Frölunda did tonight!

Let's go Rangers and Henke

Strudwick at D with Poti out is fine. Orr should play tonight because the team got him just for this reason, plus they need to see how he plays with Holweg still injured. NY needs to come out strong and redeem themselves from the loss of the other night.

With the Blueshirts back at home, and in front of a capacity-crowd, they will come out strong. I'm too lazy to look, but will this game be on OLN?

ive been a closet rags fan for a few years now, and now that colton has started playing for you guys, im following a little more. i sure hope he dresses tonight and gets to fight boogey and take him down a notch. ive been wating for colton to make his NHL debut since his days with the P-bruins, and i was pissed when the bruins let him go. kick some *** tonight!

Right here, and I'll offer up a scouting report as I've watch a fair amount of this team. Here's the skinny on Minny as I see it:

Strengths - Goaltending (the Fernandez-Roloson tandem consistently gives them quality stars and keeps them in games), Speed (Gaborik, Bouchard, Rolston, Walz, they have forwards with wheels), Special Teams (though it has cooled off lately, the power play in particular has been strong)

Weaknesses - Inability to finish (they create a ton of really good scoring chances that do not result in goals, Even Strength play (as good as their special teams have been, they've been generally ineffective at even strength, Defensive Zone play (surprisingly, yes, they have been prone to ill-advised passes in their own end).

Overall, this is a better team than their record would suggest. They've suffered from injuries, bad bounces, and playing in perhaps strongest division in hockey hasn't helped.

Some of the players are the same, but this is a different team than the pre-lockout Wild. Yes Lemaire tries to get them to be disciplined defensively, and they still try and create scoring opportunities by forcing neutral zone turnovers, but the group of veterans that led them on their '03 playoff run is mostly gone, and the reins have largely been turned over to the youngsters. As a result, they've struggled with some of the things they used to excel at. They haven't played well on the road, their record in 1-goal games is one of the worst if not the worst in the league, they've lost games by blowing leads, all things more experienced teams tend to be better at.

Gaborik supposedly isn't fully recovered from the injuries he had early in the year, but he's looked pretty darn good to me. He's been one of the biggest beneficiaries from the changes. He seems to either create a scoring chance or draw a penalty every time he's on the ice. He's a dangerous player who is fun to watch.

This should be a good game. This Wild team is better offensively and worse defensively than the pre-lockout teams, so there are a lot more chances at both ends in their games. (They're SOG against per game is one of the 5 highest in the league.)

I think it's Roloson in net tonight. Fernandez has sort of emerged as the starter, but Roloson darn near stole them a point in Nashville the other night even though the Wild were badly outplayed. The Wild did look pretty strong in Jersey on Saturday though.

For the Rangers stay out of the box, get plenty of shots on Roloson, hope for some rebounds, and try not to let Gaborik go bonkers, and this should be a start to a new winning streak.

Edit: Ignore that. Apparently I was on the Ott/Fla NHLradio feed instead of NYR/MIN for some stupid reason.
