Hrmm, I dont know if it's overpaying but maybe a 7th round picks for the Anaheim Mighty Ducks entire organization. That way we could fill Manchester, Reading and Bakersfield to the brim.

Realistic trades? How about none because mgmt appears to be "fine" with the team as it is.... Aargh.....

Mike Van Ryn to LA for a 3rd rounder and Peter Kanko

Van Ryn can play the PP and I think Florida is going to start making some moves quickly. He'd be our 4-5 guy even though he plays 20 minutes a game with Florida, it would make our top 6 much better with Corvo being a solid 6th guy.

Not doing this thread justice with that proposal. A mid prospect and a 3rd does nothing for the Cats.

New Jersey won't be moving Colin White anytime soon. They are looking to move Malahkov, Mativchuk, and McGillis before any other defenseman.

Kanko's a keeper man, and I'm not sold on Van Ryn and his one good year.

Kanko is 100% energy, game in and game out. He's fearless and can score as well. I would love to see Petr get at least a cup of coffee in LA this year.

He would be the new Encino Man.

A guy with all heart and no brains, they say there trying to control him but all he is becoming is a distraction to the team. Every team they play has some extra motivation to play against the kings because Avery said some stupid shi*

19pts in 27 games for the tin man Arnason who knows what it would be if he had a heart???????

Desparate teams with cap room come trade deadline?

I'd take McGillis on the Sharks and I think he could be a nice fit in LA as well.

How about you put down the pipe.

We've already got a swiss cheese d without swapping Miller for Gonchar and his large contract and underachieving play.

At his AHL salary, he wouldn't be able to afford L.A. coffee.

Well, given what I heard on the Hot Stove last night (i.e. the second period HNIC equivalent of Coach's Corner) I thought I'd add something more to this aging thread.

Apparently the salary cap for next year is actually going to be higher than this year. Would such a revelation make DT more willing to make a higher-salary trade now...given the fact that he won't have to save up as many funds for the free agent market next season?

Possible, but I doubt it.

No, but I think you should.

Avery has 16 points. Not bad considering he's a checker and Arnason is a "Scorer"

1. There's absolutley no way you trade away either Kanko or Avery, unless the deal is mindblowing.

2. There's no way you get Langenbrunner for a pick. You guys are definitely underestimating his value.

I dont think we're underestimating, I think it's more that we're trying to guage what they'd want. And with their cap problems, I don't see how they can take on anymore salary, so any deals that they would make would have to have them bringing on less salary or prospects or picks. A deal involving roster players isn't likely.

You're right Darth.Isles aren't gonna move Sopel. He was coming off a 42 pt season when they traded a 2nd for him last summer. They think Sopel situation's similar to getting Aucoin several yrs ago..they've got a defensemen just coming into his own,due to breakout.
