Jokinen didnt make the trip to Toronto with a 'lower-body' injury.

From the Dallas Morning News...

Quote:
Jokinen stays home: Stars rookie wing Jussi Jokinen didn't travel to Toronto, shelved with what the club called a lower-body injury. He is expected to play against Buffalo.

Just a quick post to join you in wishing for a well-played game, whoever wins. And most importantly, that neither side suffer injuries.

We have a decent chance tonight because the Stars have been playing quite well and we have recently specialized on losing to teams who have long losing streaks.

Good luck.

Stars are a good team with excellent goaltending. The Leafs have lost 2 of the last 4 games by identical 2-1 scores with the opposing team goalie standing on his head.

Excellent goaltending beats the leafs as they don't shoot and try to pass the puck into the net. Which of course exasperates Maple Leaf and Team Canada coach Pat Quinn to no end.

Olympic hopeful Marty Turco is just such a goalie. Of course Turco has an added incentive tonight to impress Team Canada Head Coach Pat Quinn.

Personally, I think Turco locks up his roster spot tonight. The real question is whether he will get a start in the Olympics to show his stuff.

the stars absolutely HAVE to win this game tonight.

My roommate is a stupid leafs fan, and would never let me hear the end of it if the stars lose. Its a problem that Jokinen and Boucher are out, but I think we can get by if Turco plays how he has been, and Guerin finally does something..

Crap.. I was looking forward to a Jokinen/Steen matchup..

Miettinen has been outstanding next to Mo and Lehts as well though, so we still have 2 solid scoring lines. It's the loss of Boucher that will hurt us vs the physical imposing Leafs.

3-1 Loss..

Isn't it December 10th?

Hope to see a good game tonight, boys. If Quinn decides to go with the joke lines he used in practiced the last couple of days, you guys won already.

A little preview of what he has done..

Kilger-Lindros-Belak

Yeah, we all want his head in Toronto.

Great game thus far,
Fantastic play by Modano for the Lehts goal.
Good game so far by both teams too.
Hopefully Stars don't Panther this game up.

I kinda have this feeling the leafs might pick one up.
They sure as hell deserve it.
It would be nice if dallas could get some real offensive pressure, but the Leafs are really coming with it.

Good win. We needed it. 9-2-0 on the road. 18 straight powerplay goals setting a francise record vs our former goalie. Night could not of been better.

Stars win..2-1!

And his second straight!

Lehts has been unbelieveable for this team...So glad to see him playing this way..especially after last year.

Turks played great once again. I don't think Turco has ever lost his former teammate in Belfour.

Either way, Stars win 5th straight and 10th in the past 11 games. Huge game standing wise. Great win. We needed it and got it. 1 down..5 to go. Onto Buffalo we go.

Uhh I wouldn't use the word owned,
It was a pretty even game (but the shot department says otherwise), except for the fact the leafs were unable to finish, otherwise this game could have been a real bad game for Dallas, but that's still hard to judge.
Good game, in all, I can't stand when Dallas sits back and play D, it doesn't work like it once did,
Leafs had some fantastic chances just weren't able to really bury it.
Good goaltending dual,

Edit: now is when we get to see what Dallas is really made of, next 2 games should be very interesting.
