I am an Islanders fan and never really cared for Jagr, but no way in hell would the rags do that. For starters Jagr is a better player and secondly he is less of a cap hit(i believe he only costs the rags 5 million compared to yashin's 6.8 million dollar cap hit).

Besides the fact that the Isles and Rangers never trade with each other, why would anyone trade the top point guy (tied) for where ever Yashin is? You're stuck with him, sorry.

Yashin is doing good this season, but no one will take him because of his contract

Once again, the Rangers are not trading Jagr, and if they were, it would take a TON more from the Isles to get him than Yashin. Also, the Rangers would never send a star like Jagr to an inter-divisional rivalry.

Has it been that long since the Rich Pilon deal?

I don't think it was a trade. The Rangers claimed Pilon off waivers.

That cap hit is actually closer to 4M.

Not much worse than the original Jagr for Yashin proposal. Lets break that one down
Jagr is a much better player with less baggage, shorter contract term (2 years vs. 6), and less money ($4.2 million vs. $6.8 million) versus Yashin who has never carried anything (other than Carol Alt's purse) to the top. Sounds pretty ridiculous, no?

I dont care about the original joke of a proposal thats why I questioned yours.

Niinimaa > Poti
Satan & Nilsson > Rucchin

No doubt.

Yes it was a sarcastic reply to the original proposal. However, given Mad Mike's record as a GM you never know!

It was a sarcastic reply but Niinimaa is not better than Poti. If anything, they're equal value in a trade. Similar stats, similar salary, Niinimaa's older. Take off the glasses.

The NHL is headed for a disaster of biblical proportions!

What do you mean "biblical"?

What he means is Old Testament. Real wrath of God type stuff! Fire and brimstone coming down from the skies! Rivers and seas boiling!

Forty years of darkness, earthquakes, and volcanos!

The dead rising from the grave!

Human sacrifices, dogs and cats living together! Mass hysteria!... and all because the NYR and NYI made a trade

About sums it up I think...

I like how you completely ignore little things like, say, defensive play.

That I'd be tempted to do. Sure, it more or less means we tank this season, but it'd be worth it to stick you guys with that awful contract.
