Where are the fans?

I saw the replays of the Stars/Panthers game last night, and man, the building looked empty. Has this been common in Dallas this year, or was that just some weird occurrence?

There was ice down here last night(a very rare occurance). Hardly anything compared to what people in the north get, but anytime there's even a hint of ice down here, people go crazy. Thats why there was no one at the game. People to scared to drive.

there were talks about cancelling the game, due to the chance of freezing rain.
In texas when it gets cold and it can freeze you are looking at some serious cancellations, hell it's a lot better here in austin than in dallas in terms of the weather and i have had my classes cancelled 2 days now.

Several major roads were shutdown in Dallas last night because of ice storms. The streets were so slick with ice your car would slide off the road just sitting still.

Dallas completely lacks the infrastructure to handle the problem (there is very little snow and ice), so a lot of people avoided dangerous driving.

Only 1/3 of the people who bought tickets showed up.

Not even doubt that last night will be the low number in attendance. Sad how scared some people get at the sight of ice in Texas..especially in Big D.

it happens once a year in dallas though, they sure as hell aren't prepared for it, so why risk it?

I'm happy for it I have had 2 days of classes cancelled, ohhhh happy day.

I actually was going to go to the game until the overpasses started icing over, and then I decided to stay home.

Same here. I trust me driving on ice, but I don't trust most people in Texas who only see ice on the freeways once a year and drive like morons.

Whenever I think of Texan ice storms, I think of that NFL game in Texas Stadium between Miami and Dallas several years back.

That weather was horrendous.

And living in the Snow Belt all my life, I have to tell you that people in snowy regions struggle with winter driving, because they think they can do it better than they can.

The best snow drivers I saw in New York were southerners, because many would drive ten miles an hour in the Interstate, while crazy New Yorkers flew by in their SUV's, screaming epithets
