Game Time: 1:00 PM PST | 4:00 PM EST
Location: Staples Center | Los Angeles, CA
TV Broadcast: Fox Sports Net
Radio Broadcast: KSPN AM 710

Quotable:

"I would like to see us get back to the level we were playing at three weeks ago. We have not performed well on the power play…. We might have to look at changes there, but I wouldn't say anything was imminent." - Dave Taylor, Kings General Manager

"I don't care who it is. If you're not getting it done, you're not going to play. The effort we had in the third period should make those guys take notice. I would hope it would. I would hope they don't like it, and I would hope that they're mad enough at me that they would come back and respond with a good effort." - Andy Murray on the ice time he gave the top players Thursday night

"The way we played in the third period makes me more disgusted with the first period. It's disappointing. Every point is so valuable." - Andy Murray on the lack luster performance of the Kings in the first period

Injury Update:
  • Valeri Bure underwent back surgery on Friday. He is expected to begin rehabilitation in 10 days.

Previous Meeting(s) this year:
  • N/A

Jokinen looks like a hobbit in his picture!

I'm leaving for the game in about 20 minutes, I better go get ready.

Is it just me or does everyone on both teams look like they're skating in slow motion?

Demitra makes up for the premium scoring chance he missed earlier during the 5 on 3 with a lucky goal

Like Foxy said, Avery has really shown some maturity, especially today. He held back on a check (that would have been boarding) and then he just tried to break up the confrontation in front of the net.

And...WOW, what a great move by Demitra. I'm glad to see a motivated and fired up Pavol again.

I like where I read above that Bure starts rehab in 10 days.
I know I posted over at LGK that I did not think he would be out a long time I think the 8 weeks is a reasonable goal. Well maybe 10.

Is it the Kings time to turn a 3 goal lead into a 3-2 nailbiter to the finish...
