Heads up NHL network subscribers

Just North Dakota fighting Sioux are playing the Minnesota Golden Gophers right now. Get a look at Brian Lee, Joe Finley, Phil Kessel, Ryan Potulny, Jordan Parise, T.J. Oshie, Zajac etc..

Yah, the game is a scout's dream.

Let us know how Lee looks. He had a couple of points in game 1.

LEE SCORES...... to tie the game 2-2. 5 on 3 ND Off the faceoff Spirko gives it to Lee who walks in, puts a little deke on the forward and roofs it far corner with a beatiful wrister.

Add Lee an assist on a big point shot from Spirko.

Well ND ended up losing 4-3 but it was a pretty entertaining game.

Keep in mind this is only my first look/opinion.

Lee looks pretty good, lots of work left to do though IMO. Looks like a guy who could be a really good PP QB in the future. His style reminded me a bit of Redden or Kaberle is closer on the PP, pass first good at spreading it around but still a serious threat with the shot if you leave him open. Meszaros-Lee would be killer as it looks like Lee is more of a passer to combine with Meszaros's cannon. Smaby (6'5 230) and Finley (6'7 240) are playing ahead of him shutting down the opposition but Lee gets tons of PP minutes and was on the ice a lot trying to get the tie. He's pretty sound defensively, could stand to add some muscle and aggressiveness (might come together), but thats not to say he's a Pothier getting dominated. IMO in a few years (2-3) he'll be on our top 6. Just needs time to fill out and polish the nice tools he's got.

Lee with 2pts? UND lost 4-3?

Was this a repeat broadcast?

Nope, UND played 2 games in 2 nights, losing both 4-3.

Brian Lee was great, with 2 goals and 2 assist.

He now has 14 pts in 19 games I think.... Which is awesome.
