At least we can possibly medal and didn't resort to cheap shots and *****ing at officials when we got down. Hopefully we don't have any newspapers shaming an 18 or 19 year old kid.

Ron Wilson is a moron. "There's nothing else to play for so we might as well try to get the two points." This isn't the NHL you idiot, and you can still get bronze.

I thought he was the best in the first part of the game, but he was part of the problem for the US after they were playing from behind. It looked to me like guys stopped using their teammates. And of course Milano missed the net on the last powerplay.

He played bad, but I think he was tired. Like I said the first few games, their coach was playing him WAY too much. They play too many games in a short time to play guys so many minutes. Especially when they were good enough to not have to rely just on a few defensemen.

It is almost special how Milano despite all the individual skill will harness it for the team's use spreading the play. His selfishness is almost a virtue - take for example the warm-up were he first skated in larger circles, then went by the bench with one American buddy still on the ice besides him. Milano took a sharp turn, deking the geezer approaching to step off the ice and leaving himself as the king of rink.

So.. Bittner had hip surgery? And he's out indefinitely? Surprised I've seen nothing on here about it.

Rangers fan here come in piece, I have a question about a prospect I was hoping one of you can answer.

Where does Paul Bittner rank in terms of your prospect pool? I've heard good things about him, and have been trying to follow him. Would he be ranked ahead of someone like Rychel or Milano? And ideal once he makes it to the big club where do you project him to play?

My thought was if Lake Erie falls out of a playoff position.

We've certainly done a lot of work to ensure that happens, taking both starting goalies, Hanni, and likely Anderson/Rychel when forwards start moving at TDL.

They must not be satisfied with his play in Lake Erie (if they send him back.)

His Junior rights were traded, does that necessarily mean he'll ever be seen in London?

No, but weird to do unless it was broached as a definite possibility with CBJ management. I guess it does make sense if Monsters are out of the playoffs, but it will be pretty shocking if he gets sent down soon.

I know it's not a fait accompli, but it seems a lot of folks are expecting Milano to get sent back to junior because he's struggling in the AHL. How often does a player get sent from the AHL level back down to juniors?

'Struggles to play within team concept'

Is this a common criticism of young and talented prospects?

I'll preface this by saying I have never watched a CHL game, but is sending him back to a place where the top-end players should dominate really be the best way to teach him to play within a team concept?

Yeah that's when I'm thinking. They must be really exasperated with his play in Lake Erie if they think juniors is going to teach him the team game.

London does have a good development record though.

Why.. why would they make this trade? Why would he be sent down?! His point production hasn't been bad for an AHL rookie.
