Why would anyone want Zhamnov right now? He looks completely disinterested in playing.

everyone expects him to get back on track soon

there's no reason for him to play so bad the entire season.

Montreal and Boston may not be good trade partners, but if Gainey called MOC looking for Zhamnov, I'd think the deal would be done before Gainey can blink.

who knows, maybe Zhamnov will fair better with fellow Russian Alexei Kovalev than he did with Sergie Samsonov.

Ribeiro for Zhamnov

that would be so ironic.

To be honest, I would take just about anyone for Zhamnov...at least it would be a salary dump.

Okay look I know Bob Gainey's plumber and he told me it's true.

Here's the deal. Gainey will trade Mike Ribeiro for Zhamnov. Boston fans will be so disgusted at this, coupled with the Thornton trade, and will eventually boycott the team. Boston's attendance averages 0, and the team folds and moves to Alabama (the next big untapped market, according to league insiders). Thus, Montreal achieves their ultimate victory: The complete and utter anahilation of the Boston Bruins, forever.

I hope this never happense even if it is jsut for a pick,. Zhamnov has so much talent bu the is just flotting aroun dthis year. We need some playres thats take the situation into thei rown hands. We need Ryan Smyth or Marleau or Doan (though I know players like thise are rare)

The Bruins could offer a 1st round pick with Zhamnov for future considerations and I'd still say no.

What an awful signing by Boston...

Zhamnov to Habs makes so little sense it's mindboggling how anyone can even speculate about it.

Boston-Montreal, 'classic' trading partners...

Lazy, smallish, overpaid unphysical center - just what the Habs need right?

no No NO !!!!

Reason #1:Horrible contract

Reason#2: I watched a few bruins games this year and oh boy....let's just say that i was saying to myself how lucky we were to not have this guy on our team.

Reason#3:So far this season Ribeiro >>> Zhamnov and that's not saying much because quite frankly Ribs is not playing that good at all.

Zhamnov to the Habs rumor : DENIED

When you are heated rivals, it makes no sense to bail the Bruins out of a bad contract and take on Zhamnov.

That's not the only reason that you're lucky, don't forget you have Bob Gainey as GM we, on the other hand have MOC! Can we expand the trade to MOC for Gainey too?

With Zhamnov's terrible contract both in terms of length and cost I can't imagine they'd get much of a return even if his play didn't seem on a sharply downwards slope.
