Game Stories

- How will the Sens play after 2 O.T. losses?

- How will they play with Redden, Spezza, and Havlat out of the lineup?

- Will Hasek have his A game tonight?

Looks like it is going to be a tough game for the Sens with a few key players out of the lineup and coming off 2 tough overtime losses to Vancouver and Calgary.

Since Smolinski will be with Heatley and Alfie, I guess it means the Fisher line will stay together, which is great. Also means Vermette should move up a line. Hopefully he can step up.

The guys are really going to have to step it up with all these injuries, if not we are done.

I don't see the top line missing a beat without Spezz (that is probably a bit of a stretch). Not because Spezz isn't key, but Smoke will probably step up his game and fit right in - that is what vets do.

Dom is going to have to come up with a huge game for us to get the W - which I think he will. Prediction: 3-1 sens.

Sounds good to me. But with the way Varada has been playing lately I'd like to see them go with a kid line for the 3rd line, something like:

Eaves-Vermette-Bo

They'd bring energy, that is for sure. I doubt they'd be a liability out there either, Vermette and Eaves are very responsible in their own end.

They sure do like their penalties out west. Took all of what, 8 seconds?

A PP goal early would be a nice confidence boost for the Sens.

About 73 whistles in the first minute alone.

The Sens powerplay could learn something from the Avs.

Hasek must think he's playing behind Buffalo again.

Fisher puts one in. The first unit could learn something from the second one.

Another ugly game. These penalties really kill a game. When was the last hockey game we actually got to witness? I hate the powerplay trade offs.

The big line scores again. Thats the Fisher line of course.

Heatley looks like garbage..again.

Fisher going for blood on Liles....looks like Liles may be partially concussed. Fisher steps up anyway...gotta give him that much.

Ottawa looks bad. Funny how they still seem to not be able to face adversity. I may have to back off my playoff predictions if this spineless play continues. Need killer instinct. Maybe sign Douggy Gilmour/???

Funny how it's the same guys stepping up again on this road trip:

Meszaros, Chara, Schaefer, Fisher...

Another first period without any flow. Once again, Fisher's line looks good. I like the way Vermette looks also.
