Holy crap Schneider (10) is a beast! Assisted by Shanahan (15). Holmstrom (11) ties it up. Unassisted!

Shanahan with 1 G 4 A

EDIT: Datsyuk (24) and Zetterberg (18) with the assists on Holmstroms goal and now as I am typing this I ****ing figure out that Stefan has scored for Atlanta now. ****!

Man I was sure this one was over. Great nights for Shanny, Dats, and Lids.

So glad that OLN is showing Pittsburgh vs. St. Louis instead of this.

Shame on me for flipping the channel when it was 6-2...props to the Wings on the comeback. I thought the back-to-back in different cities would catch up to them. Win it for the Red Wings' dads!

Thrashers take the lead thanks to a Red Wing breaking his stick and Stefan scores on thr breakaway

Dissappointed with the outcome, but man, was that entertaining. I was ready to mail it in at 6-2.

Man, what a cheesy way to end this game. Like I said earlier, what could go wrong did go wrong. At least no one got hurt.

goaltending remains a concern

Discipline remains a concern. Osgood would have been fine had he not been tossed into a game cold to immediately face two long 5on3s and a 3 on 0 odd man rush on a PK no less. He gave our guys a chance to win it with a bunch of HUGE saves from there on out. That breakaway hurt but like they say you can't blame the goalie for a breakaway goal. It would have been nice had he stopped it (like say Kovalchuk's) but oh well. On to Florida.

I agree with NorrisNick. I don't think goaltending was the problem tonight. It thought both looked ok.

Another late goal against?

7 goals against?

Team suspiciously bad in games which Legace doesn't play?

Remember October? Legace was playing great before he got hurt.

Don't anyone suggest trading Manny.Ever.Again.

Well at least the guys were embarassed into making it look respectable. I was about to tune out at 6-2 as well. Good to see we can score too, but the D remains a big, big concern. Holland said he was keeping his eyes & ears open, so if there really were 10 scouts at the game against the Pens last night....somebody is talking to someone about something, and it can't just be the Pens?

Fact: The Wings won their previous three games with Chris Osgood in goal.
Fact: Jimmy Howard let in 3 goals on 16 shots, Chris Osgood let in 4 goals on 16 shots against Atlanta.

So now they both suck and Manny is our only saviour ?

Come on octopi, get real.
This was clearly not about goaltending.

If we could get a defenseman out of him so we don't have to play Chelios and/or Lilja ungodly amounts of icetime a night I'd be all for it.
