Maybe something like Bonk+Ryder vs Handzus+Branko

Montreal wouldn't have a use for a guy like Draper would they?

I really want Souray, plus he's one of the few options of a big defenseman capable of playing the body Holland would be interested in. He's pretty much a bigger Schneider (big shot and touch n' go in his own end), no? Schneider likes to hit now and then but he's not big enough to do anything with it.

Yeah I'd like to see Draper in Montreal. Problem with Souray leaving is that anohter left defenseman has to come back as part of the deal, and the only one of value in Detroit right now are Nick Lidstrom and Schneider and we all know they're not going anywhere.

Maybe Lilja, but then we fill one defensive hole and create another. Woolley can still play 15 minutes, though he's more a PP/offensive specialist at this point.

Draper would be alright, but for that to work I think Bonk would ahve to go ther other way. Can't have two 2million+ third line centers on the team. I'll admit I haven't been paying any attention to Draper this year, but he seems to be struggling (4 pts, worst +/- on the team by far), just like Bonk is. Maybe a change of scenery for both would be a good idea?

Including Souray in the deal would be challenging, unless it turns into a 3-way deal somehow. Montreals big weakness this year is on D, they can't really deal Souray away unless they get a D back, and taking a quick glance at Detroits roster I only see guys that would either be a total ripoff for Detroit to give up, or a total ripoff for Montreal to take.

No thank you to Lilja and Draper...from a Montreal standpoint...

I have a question, whenever I read posts from other teams fans, even when I speak to some of my friends who aren't Habs fans, the player they always mention as being interested in is Micheal Ryder...

Is he that well regarded around the league? Or should I say, among fans?
